Arrived on Monday... Blinged out by Thursday... and I got a nice little PCP Carbine out of Snipers guts too... Muzzle brakes for the Disco are in the works.... I am saving the Crony testing till Guy comes up so I can have a witness.... Both of these guys are allready killers.... Last Photo... What Head? Taken with the Sniper/Disco at over 20 yards... I just used a 1" hole saw in the drill press... The Disco/Sniper is all stock innards... I have not even angle ported the valve yet... I don't want to get too deep in it yet... We are shooting this weekend. The only thing you guys have not seen was the Breech extension.... Now I have the surface area for the Scope Riser... The 22xx Carbine: I made the gauge adapter for the 2260 tube. Looks just like the Disco one.... I have a Disco valve, Hammer Spring and fill end on order for for the carbine. The stock hammer spring is too weak to use over 1600 psi... The 5k psi gauge was a bit over kill... Short of ordering a Benji guage... It was what I could find at the Paintball store... The only choice they had was 1200 or 5000 psi. It will have to do for now... The Carbine has a Disco bolt in it... but... I have an RJ Long Riser breech on order to go with...... A Fluted Bull Barrel I am fitting for it... I am still tossing around the idea of threading the end for muzzle goodies... If I do... it will be 14mm reverse thread for AK goodies... I am impressed with the Disco for power and accuracy... it is a bit heavy at 8 lb 6 oz for shouldering... Noise is no problem arround here.. The Carbine is lighter and easily shoulderd. I will have to weigh the Carbine when I get back up to the house. Time to call it a day in the shop... It's plenty warm and I have to cook tonight... _________________ Say "NO" to BB Gun Wars... Looks Bob The carbine is the Disco stock and a 2260 tube. Custom cut & crowned 18" on the barrel... I do the muzzle and crown like a Walther Loather barrel... Here is the photo of the crown... I leave a nice ridge to protect the crown like the WL barrels on a Talon... Very accurate... we were shooting empty 12 gauge shells at 85-100 yards last sunday... This is the same cut I put on all the custom cut and crowned CR barrels that I work on for customers. Bob Same Fit... I bought the 2260 Gas Tube by it's self for the original Sniper project... Trigger Groups: If you are looking at doing a swap arround.... the triggger groups on the rifles are diffrent from the pistolas... but... the trigger groups on the Disco and 2260 are the same.... and all are interchangable with the gas tubes on the whole 22xx & 13xx line.... It is posable to swap out a 1377c pumper... trigger group to the rifle type... & mod a 2260 stock to fit... You will have to cut the stock down to fit the pumper arm and re-finish it... Bada bling... If you are moding a 2260 tube for the Disco Stock & Guts... Either you are going to have to make or buy the Disco Guage port. Sorry I did not take a photo of it before I installed it in the Gas Tube... Locating the hole for the port is easy with a 1" hole saw... Mount your stock to the gas tube.... Drop the hole saw into the guage hole and spin it a bit by hand. The center drill bit will leave a nice scribe mark. Dissasemble and drill to fit a 1/8" fitting through the gas tube... Don't forget to remove the burrs or you will tear o-rings durring assembly.... Easy Cheesy.... _________________ Say "NO" to BB Gun Wars... So when are you going to build a combination regulator / guage port for a Disco.... or better yet.... how about a QB79 style tank block with a built-in regulator, proper fastening system (bolt setup like the Disco valve), and 1/16" more offset so that a 2" tank has proper clearance to the barrel.... Think how nice it would be if you could change 2"D 3000 psi tanks out under the barrel.... fill them off the gun.... and have the regulator built in....
