Got my backyard/hutning ground tilled and leveled last week. Another week or so will be filling with veggie plants. In the meantime I wanna set up my squirrel/pigeon bait stattion.

Right after I finished tilling, I waited for a bit, knowing all the birds and such were watching me as I did so. And right on cue, about an hour later I peeked out my attic window to the yard below and there's a dozen birds and couple squirrels going over the newly tilled ground.

So I go and run for my 2300kt. Unfortunilly, my neighbor to the north had just let their lil yapper dog out and it scared all the other critters away. But one thing for sure, I was taking some site pictures of the yard now that it's warm enough. With the 14" long barrel that I've still going to add a break to, get's a lil heavy holding it still for long lengths of time.

First option, get a bag, fill it with sand, and use that to prop barrel up. Second option, tap the bottom screw on the barrel to tube thing, and use one of those 4" tall camera tripods they sell all over for about $10.

Not even sure this will even work. The angle that would be best for me, would have me sitting on a tall stool to get a good angle on half the yard. I REALLY wish I could set up a small table on the back porch. BUT there's some issues with this. Mainly weither or not my mother likes the idea of me shooting critters from the back window! (She isn't particularly pro gun, even though her father hunted).

Jax

I'd love to get that yapper! House next door is a mother and father in their 60's, their daughter in her late 20's and grand daughter that's a pre-teen. The dog was for the grand daughter. Thing is while she's at school, and mom is at work during the day, the grandparents don't wanna deal with the dog so it's outside most of the time.

This dog is soooo high strung, that at night, go to use our own bathroom, you can hear the dog next door....inside....going balistic!!!

I soooo can't wait to move out of the city!

I have a list of "bad" ideas for the dog.

Yeah, I might not like the lil yapper, and I certainly don't think the grand parent's treatment of the lil guy is actually humane, I still couldn't do anything to harm it.

Back to topic of hunting a yard. Any other suggestions for a rest for a situation with a high angle of attack? I'll see if I can grab a few snap shots of my yard from my window and such. Another week or so garden plants will be going in. Even if I didn't need the critters for food, I'd want to protect my crops from pests! I am going to sllllllooowwwllly breach the subject of doing some "pest control" from the back porch, but I have to take my time on that one... In the mean time, I need to get this other situation resolved.
