My wife likes to shoot "open sight" like a girl... She says that scopes are for old men who can't see anymore...
A buddy that I made a brake for his RWS 34 Panther & helped him build his 2250 donated/traded the Tru-Glo sights form the panther and steel breech for her gun...
With a few mods, a little delrin and some lathe time... mission acomplished....
Having the barrel fully incased in delrin sure cut down barel harmonics and and with the hooded front sights... I can KO a can at 20 yards, with one hand...
She is very happy with it...

Maybe so, but your eye for style keeps getting sharper. |

Thank you Uncle Slavia,
I decided with the short barrel that she wanted not to hop up the valve or TX ports. No since in wasting Co2...
I plinked around till a little after dark:30 with the porch lights on.
Now my eyes are tired... but I guess that it is good to exercise them every now and then...
I cheated and worked on our guns today. I made a holder for my 7/8" ball end mill and worked a bit with some Delrin. A new goodie for the Sniper project and for my son's backpacker... But my wife's gun... that was the highlight of the day...
I will do show and tell later on the other two goodies… Basically they are a "3/4" OD fill in" from the breech to the barrel bands. Sniper now has extended dovetails for the scope riser.
Photos later... I am going to bed…
Guy... I did change out her valve again... no leaks this time...
BTW... your “squirrel friend” did not come back today... |

Thank you Gents...
In the true fashion of a woman.... now she wants her Big Barrel two inches longer...
I managed to get my hands on some more of the long knurled gas caps today.... but in order to use one... the barrel has to be 2" longer..... |

Pell-agra, for natural barrel enhancement. |

Hey Slavia...
Pell-agra is for a limp barrel...
Muzzle-end-zyte is for natural barrel enhancement...
"that increase in size... now that's fun" |

She got her wish today...
The Muzzle-end-zyte worked... a full 10" of bull barrel on her 2240...
And her easy grip gas cap!
But when I told her about the Gun Kote that I am planing to use on my charger project... it was T.M.I... (Too Much Information)... She is now looking at colors... I should have shut up...

I did the TX port as the only internal mod...
She's got a bit o' kick to her now... I do plan on spinning a hammer spring / power adjuster... Cold Blue steel.... Then once the Crony is back... I will dial her in... |
