After much reading on here I learned a lot and think that I have it narrowed down. However, I want to make sure that I am not missing a company or rifle that I should take a look at.
What I am looking for is a springer to shoot pests in my back yard. The farthest I will shoot would be about 40-50 yards. More consistintly around 20-30 yards. I want something accurate for mulitple shots. I would like to buy a combo. However if I can piece one together and end up with a better end product for the same money then I would go that route. I am looking to spend right around $300 tops.
So where did I end up? I have been looking the hardest at the RWS 34. Probally the Panther Pro. Is this a good choice or is there another option to look at. Thanks for your time in advance. |

Yes, it looks like you have done your homework. The RWS 34 is what I think Warren Buffet would call, quality at a reasonable price.
Some of the other members will probably be along shortly with more helpful thoughts. In the mean time, come on in and have a look around. I think you'll like the neighborhood.

Gamo CFX is a great shooter for pests up to rabbit size.
being a underlever there is no issues with breach
becoming loose/sloppy and being a fixed barrel they
are very accurite. |

I cast my vote for the 34. And all you other guys know why.
If you want to take the distance a bit further take a look at the 350 fuerkraft (how the hell do you spell it?). It's a very powerful rifle and I wouldn't be suprised if you could accurately shoot 1.5" groups at 75 yards. The combo version has a simple scope on it and fiberoptic iron sights, good deal unless you have a nicer scope sitting around.
If you go with the 34, get it in .177. The 350 will need to be in .22 so you can avoid going supersonic. |

| And you can get a good scope/mounts (Leapers 3-9X32 in accushot med 2 piece mounts) and a pellet sampler from SS and a cleaning kit and more pellets! That should put you at $300! |

| Those mounts may not work. Dianas all droop. |

Diana over Gamo, always. The 31/34 is a very good rifle. I would have gotten one if I wouldn't have gotten this sweet deal on a used 48.

Feuer. You pronounce it as Foh-yer. Like an Aussie guy saying fire.

The 350 takes a lot of technique. You gotta be a real man to take them on.

If you look at this rifle, you'll also want to look at the Beeman R9.
By the way, the 31/34 are also pretty good in .22. |

| I think the 31 Panther has the same weight as the 34 Classic. A Dutch forum member wrote a review about it. |

Sorry Sniper, but a B26 could never outshoot a D34.
Edit: I think the .177 D34 is like 12-13 fpe and .22 is 14-15? I know it's got enough power to flatten a pellet at 50 yards. |
