That bastard should be strung up by his thumbs. After my dog's injuries, it really hits close to home with that.

Unfortunately the guilty party will probably not be found and as far as justice goes, forget it. People are never punished hard enough for animal cruelty. Maybe 3 months community service. There is not a more dangerous, mean spirited, unsympathertic, cruel creature in any jungle anywhere than a spoiled rotten American teenager with a BB gun. Sad but true. If you catch him before the cops do, do him from behind with no witnesses.

That's so wrong, killing a dog with a bb gun. And it probably suffered horribly.

The kid who did that will have to live with that the rest of their life. Yeah, right now they dont' give a sh!t. But in a few years it'll start to eat at them.

isnt animal cruelty and torture one of the first steps down the psychopathic road to being a serial killer? why in the world do we not treat these kids like we should? they are monsters in the making.

what i'm about to say next, i'm sure will stir up a hornets nest, but here goes anyway.....

i say remove the child from the home (no matter the age) evaluate him for probability of rehabilitation. if its likely he CAN be reformed, do so. if he cant sterilize him and keep him away from society. as for the parents of such children..... sterilize them as well, garnish their wages to pay for the rehab and or incarceration, if they cannot or will not work, incarcerate them as well.

everyone has the right to live free, until that freedom damages the society.

please address hate mail to dummyracer36@yahoo.com

I agree with you Dummy. (I know I might be close to that kid's age) Children with guns is a no-no. I don't totally agree with that, because I wouldn't even think of hurting an innocent animal with my air guns. Even if I had powderburners, they would be treated with respect.

I don't know what happened. I hear stories (that are true) of people from my parent's generation, grandparents, and great-grandparents, of walking down the street with a 20ga killing squirrels. You could shoot a rimfire in your back yard and noone would question it. Everyone owned guns, and there wasn't a problem with them.

How come in today's society gun owners are portrayed as crazy rednecks? Or even worse, criminals. (I know I'm getting off AIRguns here, but guns are guns. PERIOD.) The people who don't own weapons, and are afraid of weapons, really scares me. Are you not mature enough to handle a gun safely? My uncle told me once when he was younger than me, that he would shoot the .22 out the back door. He is still living nearly 40 years later. Never shot his eye out, or killed the neighbor's dog (if he did, he must have gotten away with it), nor did he bring a gun to school. Now if I go into some of my classes and even mention gun, I'm flagged for being a terrorist. Evil or Very Mad I find it really sad that so many people have this innate fear of a piece of metal that goes "bang". Maybe they were convinced that the police will always be there to protect them and that they live in a perfect little world where their houses will never get robbed or some psychopath is running down the street with a shotgun killing your neighbors.

Back to airguns and dog killing: That kid really is a sick f000. I don't blame it on his owning a BB gun, playing Grand Theft Auto (running people over with a tank and blowing up the police is actually quite fun), or his dad taking him hunting. These sick (for lack of a better word) degenerates who do things like that really ruin our image as airgunners. I wouldn't be suprised if wherever this took place, they try and pass a bill banning or restricting airguns or guns all together.

As Dummy said (but in my case) send hatemail to general_skidmark@hotmail.com, all spam will be deleted, so make your hate count.

I think it's totally understandable that people are scared of guns and want to have them banned.

"Maybe they were convinced that the police will always be there to protect them and that they live in a perfect little world where their houses will never get robbed or some psychopath is running down the street with a shotgun killing your neighbors. "

This isn't really fair to say I think. When you own a gun to protect yourself you automatically take the responsibility of taking someone's live. How many people are capable of living with that? Most people who steal don't have a lot of money and are from a worse environment, especially when they come and steal your stuff. Shooting them sounds a bit harsh to me.

It's always important to state that we are no different from any other person on this planet, and we are all capable of the same dirty sick sh!t. The question is that when the time comes around, will you be a sick bastard or will you not. That's "To be or not to be." right there for you.

Word on that brother.

People are, at their core, the same. But it is our actions which define us, and determine what we are and will become.

It's also possible to redeem yourself. And maybe the kid who killed the dog will come around in a few years be a better person. [/quote]

Indeed. I made a few mistakes in my life but a bit of punishment teaches well. I once destroyed several windows of a boyscout clubhouse. I was hangin' with the wrong friends. That stuff just eats you and it wasn't that big a deal.

Really taught me to go against the group though. Swimming against the stream is in some (maybe most) cases the right way.

Afterwards I heard that those boy scout guys screwed around with one of my buddies in the past. They'd go as far as taking a piss on his bed. That's just not funny. It's best for me to not go there with that knowledge.

I've done a lot of bad stuff in the past, but for the most part, I don't feel bad about it. However, I believe that I have paid the price for most of the things I did. Call it karma or whatever.

Regardless of whether I feel guilt about what I did, doesn't mean I'll do it again. I have changed a lot and become a better person over the years.

Ah, spoken like the true liberal progressive I knew you were. Yeah they have less than you, yeah they have bad parents so it's ok if they steal from you! Remember if they are hard up enough to be in your place they just might kill you! Shooting them is not harsh. You seem to not accept the fact that there exists real evil in the world. Even though you and I are always on opposite political sides you will never find me thinking that I am so much better than you that I can just take what I want from you,. That is because I have respect for us both. Some don't
