When i shoot beeman silver stings, i hear whats best descibed as a heavy tiiing. its not loud. but it only does it with those particular pellets.
I've shot other types around the same weight.
i use a seating tool(homade), and it apears to be getting a good seal in the chamber. the head fits a little loose. but i have another type with a similar fit. it only does it with the stings. the accurracy is pretty good with 'em. they seem to hit pretty hard.
should I be worried??? Neutral

my gamo also makes (i think) the noise you describe with 8.2 grain rws field points. only that one pellet. i'm guessing it is how the barrel grooves are gripping the skirt?? i wouldn't think it's any worry.

Sniper, speaking of sounds...
The "cold dead fingers" was a Charlton Heston declaration not John Wayne's.
The statement was first "aired" by Heston publicly at the NRA national convention.

A beeman rs-2 sportrman. wally world special.
i have the 22 barrel locktighted in. i have the trigger stoned and adjusted properly. itried to hit my far target again today. i swear i got at least 2 or 3 out of 10 or 15. it was real windy. and i have to thread the shot betweeb 2 big trees. next calm day i'm gonna git it. i need to hold over about 4-5 inches, where the cross hairs get thick right below target. i hit 2x with the stingers and 1x with the polymags. im gonna get my neighbor over with his laser range finder to check the distance. i'm guessin about 80yds.

i bought it before i knew better. i've redone the trigger. totally smoothed and adjusted like i like it. could smooth it a bit more, but it's light.(the first thing i do with a new gun is a trigger job). Naughty
i commited to the 22 barrel with locktight. bought a decent scope.
i find me and it prefer a 16-17gr. pellet, (so far).
if i knew, i probably would have spent the money elswhere. but i don't feel bad about makin a mistake when i modify it.Evil Plot

Think of this forum as a group meeting for recovering modaholics. Nah, we have no intention of recovering from nuthin. We're all enablers, but you're still in the right place.

I can quit anytime I want to. Yeah I really can. I don't have to customize my guns. I could quit today if I wanted to. Yeah that's right.
