But Broom...

This thread is messing with me in my dreams. I had a dream I was on that hog hunt, but using superdomes and the pig went right down in a snap. Is it sad that I bash Gamo in my dreams now?

It was set,as I stated before. If you watch closely at the feet right before being shot it jumps a little, you can see his legs are tethered together and see leaves rustling to the side where the rope is HIDDEN by the leaves.

Absulutly right about it not being wild, never been hog hunting, but my brother has and said if really was wild it would have tore that guys leg off.

Just having fun....note how I cunningly miss-spelled Alaska...typos, don't you love em?

By the way, I still consider Gamo when I think of air rifle purches. It's their adds more than their product that gets bashed.

Paladin is very wise. Their products are generally good. They didn't become as big as they are by selling total junk.

Even as bad as PBA pellets are, they do work for some people. Their rifles are par for the course within their price range.

The marketing is the worst I've seen so far, but I suppose it's worked this well for them so far, they see no real reason to change. The only thing they have to loose by not changing is their reputation. Rolling Eyes

I think they're aiming at a totally different clientel than is found here for one thing. They are trying to appeal to novice shooters and casual shooters who will be buying at the so called "big box" stores. That explains the heavy marketing of "FPS" without any context as to what speed means. They're just in the market to make money. People here are more likely to buy a higher end rifle (air gun) than someone going to say...Walmart or even a sporting goods chain. While we still occasionally want a mid-priced rifle and can consider Gamo as well as other brands.

NO OFFENCE TO ANY ONE
sry caps
Gammo runs the big numers cause' it sells..period .
their ethics or moralls behind it may be screwed. but.
i don't agree, but in this day and age, sales are gold,i've not actuallly shot a gammo,(my budy got a whisper, and we're plannin'
a shoot).
if it sells.
the more shooters we got the better. Spread the knowledge.
i'm currently thinkin' about a baikal targt pistol.
more than i can afford. but within reach.
i myself am trying to lure more into targets as fun misc. stuff.
