That Lucznik looks like a pretty well engineered air gun Lauchlin, and looking at the price of £20-£25i airgun range I would guess it must have been made in the 1960s?

Look in the lower right hand corner of the scan of the Technical Data. It has a Review date of November 1976

Yes but by that time it was out of production.

Lucznik means "archer" in Polish.

How does the trigger adjustment screw work? Sear engagement? Trigger spring tension?

The barrel latch looks a good bit like the one on my Haenel Model I D.R.P. circa 1928 and the trigger adjuster could be right off of my Haenel Model III D.R.P., same vintage. Wonderful old time craftsmanship. Maybe the best of the post-war guns that followed the old designs. Not bad power, either, if it shoots near to what the article states.

Here's a link to more Luzcniks:

Compare to the 187 in the thread.

Model code Lucznik

Model kode:

A - 1967
B - 1968
C - 1969
D - 1970
E - 1971
F - 1972
G - 1973
H - 1974
I - 1975
J - 1976
K - 1977
L - 1978
M - 1979
N - 1980

Lucznik without letter is older than 1967 ( practically most of them ).

Lucznik don,t means Archer in Poland.

Lucznik 188 was sold as Archer in Great Britain ( and maybe other countrys ).

Lucznik was also sold as Mars 87 / 187 ( Also Slavia and Gamo was sold as Mars airguns ).

I have 3 Lucznik - two Lucznik 87, and one Predom Lucznik 187.

Could have severals of Lucznik, but I go for airguns in good conditions.

Link to my homepage and pictures of my Lucznik ( and other airguns ).

http://www.123hjemmeside.no/luftvaapen/20601324

Have contact in Poland.

he has provided me lots of parts for Lucznik such as spring with thicker coils, leather piston seals, Polymer piston seals, barrel seals, rivets ( both types ),and front sight, trigger spring, and he will provide me screws and other parts later.

Lucznik 87 / 187 / 188 is also a copy of one of the Haenel models.

I have several Predom Lucznik Wz. 1970, all of them with CR and HS serial number prefixes. I guess they mean something after 1970, but what?
