I think my piston is sticking.
I went to cock the gun, and it got about half way and stopped, I let up on it, tried again, still, then it worked. It still shoots just as accurately, but the stopping concerns me. I figure that the gun is dry, being about 4 years old and never having a inner lube/tune.
If it is something similar to that, how can I open up the rifle safely and operate? I don't have a spring compressor, but I have heard you can use a 2x4. |

If you're going to try the "strongarm" spring compressor, you will likely need a second person to remove/reinstall parts as you go. Be warned, this is not necessarily the safest way to do things.
Have you tried putting some silicone oil (no petroleum distallates in it) into the chamber to lube the seal a bit? If it is sticking you will damage the seal and/or possibly rip it right off the piston. |

| They have a strong enough spring to hurt your or damage something. You can build a compressor for cheap. Do a search and you will get all kinds of plans. |
