I might be getting a .177 qb78 soon to tinker with before rabbit season (so I can shoot them out of my window without the neighbors hearing a magnum springer).

What can I do to a stock 78 to clean and polish things like the trigger group and such? I'm not at all familiar to the qb78 family, but they seem simple.

I plan to order the gun with the Leapers accushot compact one piece mounts from Archer Airguns, will those fit my Tasco 3-9x40? Or will I need high mounts?

The QB 78 is a bit rough when first bought, the whole gun needs to be taken apart and given a good clean and polish, trigger job and lube also probably a re-crown.

These posts will give you some idea fritz, I havent located the one on the QB trigger yet but it's in there some where.

QBs are like a diamond in the rough.......with a little spit and polish they can be made into great guns. I love mine!!!

QB 78 tuned........

http://airgunartisans.com/flyingdragon/

Check out flying dragon air rifles for a no remorse purchase..................talk to Mike Melick on the different trims....they are cheap to shoot after you get your bulk fill endcap and bulk fill off a 20 oz paintball tank. qb's are based on some of your old school crosmans .
You will not be sorry you spent the extra money. It will be tuned & tested for accuracy and power plus a trigger job before you ever touch it. All this With a guarantee!!!

I think I'm going to work on this one, I find great satisfaction in doing my own work. Don't think I will bulk fill it anytime soon, though. Gonna have to buy a soft guitar case so I can transport her to my workshop without the neighbors $harting some bricks. Will have to fit my laptop in there too for the qb tune guides.
