Well I guess I can put the Hacksaw away for now. About 850 rounds through the gun and it seems to be settling in nicely (I hope it continues).
That gal and I had our moments Evil or Very Mad

I think I'll let her reach a nice old age of around 1,500 rounds before deciding to do anything. In the mean time just reading and learning.

I don't have anything against Gamo guns, per se. It's parts availability and marketing ethics that keep me away from their products.

If AirIndy is happy with his, then all is right in the universe.

I wouldn't go that far... I mean, he hasn't even killed a boar with it yet. Mr. Green

Seriously though, that's good that it's finally growing up to be a nice gun. The Gamo I had about 5 years ago only took around 150 shots before it got settled in (then again, the guys in the store may have played around with it too since it was a display model). I think their rifles are underrated. If they revised their marketing, got rid of all the gimmicky nonsense and adjusted their prices, they would probably be more highly appreciated among hardcore air gunners.

If they had added an air bag feature to mine, it would still be here today. Crying or Very sad

I thought the whole idea on Gamo was that they're cheap. Shocked

Don't know about the "other" issues with Gamo; but, I think it is a decent introduction in Air Guns. The way it is shooting now it is good enough to compete at the "bush" leagues at local clubs. Tigger is still a mess ... I might just install the GRT III I read so much about. How hard is that?

Not very, just make sure you're doing it over a WHITE towel (that the misses won't notice is missing, because it's stained with grease).

The white is so you can see parts.

I'm new here, and a new air gunny, and I've noticed the negative "attitude" that Gamo has around here. Is their product crap, or what? Their prices are sorta high for plastic stocks and fluted "Polymer" bull barrels. The scopes they put their name on are BSA's. Just curios.
I'm a Crosman guy so far, but as stated, I'm just getting started.

Crosman 1377(early)
Crosman 1377(new)
Crosman 760
Crosman 140

Gamo sells generally cheap products. They over-hype all of their cheap products. They use bad ad campaigns, to endorse products that are being used for the wrong applications (IE the wild boar project).

Ah yes, I did watch the video of the idiot runnning around with the boar until the guys in the background apparently got the pig in the right spot so he could use his PBA ammo and shoot the "250 pound wild boar", and "he was done". Yet I could see the pig laying there wiggling until they were able to edit the darn thing to a point where the pig had finally died.
I don't think the pig was near 250 pounds, maybe 150, 175, but not 250, no way.

Gamo is all about looks and nothing about quality. And looks sell I guess.

Looks sell, to people not really looking at or for the quality.

I like the second one, it has a tactical look and I like the tactical rifles. The bottom one suits me as well. Those are decent looking.
