I've got a BSA AG scope that has a rubber coating. The rubber is starting to peel in places, but there is nice paint underneath.

Any ideas about how to remove the rubber without disturbing the paint?

Care, patience and a hobby knife (x-acto). I did it to a small
Beeman scope and some Bushnell bonoculars. You might need
a solvent if there is glue.

Hi Slavia
Try a small drop of WD40 applied with a brush along the joint, hopefully it will penatrate under the rubber and release it.

I remember the last time that I was bored. It was back in
1978. It was a gruelling 20 minute experience.

Then you must have 8 arms and 4 heads. Mr. Green

Boredom is when we should learn to appreciate that we have nothing to do. Wink
