After having trouble from loading magazines, and not pushing the pellets well into the mag, causing the gun rotating finger to slip off the teeth destroying a number of magazines, I made this handy little tool which seats the pellets for you.

Seating tool and a badly loaded magazine.

Put the mag in the seating tool and press together.

A nicely loaded Magazine.

That's a handy looking tool you got there!
I think I noticed that one in your "Umarex CP88 GUN Case" post in the pictue gallery:

But I couldn't figure out what it was and I didn't ask so I didn't know til now, I take it, It's made of white nylon and brass?!?

So, How hard is it to actually seat the .22 pellets into a metal rotary clip?
Judging by the fact that you have made a tool for it and that if you don't have it, All your mags will be damaged, It's a pretty essential tool to have!

And lastly on the last pic, Have you cut yourself or have you been using your wife's lipstick to grease your mags?? Laughing

Hi Steve, Yes your right Nylon 66 and brass cheese head screws with the heads filed down.

The pellets are actualy .177 but I recently changed over from Bisley Practice to Hobbys and they are a tighter fit and difficult to press into a mag.

As for the blood it's ink, if I had used the wifes lipstick it would have been blood. After the disastrous episode with the Winchester chopping up my magazines I checked them all under a magnifying glass and marked the good ones with red ink, some of the others that were not damaged to bad still work in the CP88, so all is not lost.

Nice to know that Not all your mags have been chewed up to the point that they are completely useless!

Also I can't think why you used RED ink to mark the GOOD ones and left all the worn ones, I thought you might have used RED ink to mark all the BAD ones and left the good one how they are!?!

As for different makes of pellets, Some do have tighter fits than others (As I have found out), And some just have slightly wider skirts than heads.

Pretty handy little home-made device.

Crosman has a similar system they call "Pellet Pro Speedloaders" one for their 12-shot magazines and another for the 8-shot magazines. It's supposed to allow easier loading of the magazines and then a firm push into the holes- but the 'easier loading' part is a bit debatable- but it will definitely allow for good solid pushing of the pellets into the holes.
