My rear iron sight broke on my crosman quest 800. Are their any replacement sights available other than a scope? Are their any sights that will fit on the grooved receiver, or directly on the barrel like the original? Thanks |

I don't know of any aftermarket replacement peep-type sights that will fit directly on a Quest. There are receiver-mounted sites available for regular guns (the cheapest I've seen is about $35 USD) which state "will fit standard factory receiver sight holes" but I'm not sure what is "standard" and if the Crosman holes would be in the same position.
But- the Quest's rear sight is plastic normally. And cheap- if you order a replacement from Crosman, the entire rear sight assembly is made up of 4 parts, the Sight Adjusting Bolt, part #C1K77-006- which is the ridged elevation adjusting knob, the Sight Assembly part# C1K77-007 which is basically the main body with the windage adjustment knob on it, the sight spring part# C1K77-037 which is the spring between the top and bottom halves of everything, and the screws (2) part #C1K77-038 which hold it all to the barrel. (Note: Don't let that 'C1K77' in the part number throw you- the 800 and the .177cal Quest 1000 share many of the same parts).
If you broke yours off- you probably still have the two screws (and maybe a couple of the other pieces?). In any event, all those pieces should be less than $20 from Crosman's customer service people.
Maybe someone else knows of another sight that will fasten to the receiver rail is out there (the Quest uses a 3/8" dovetail groove) but I don't know of any offhand. |
