| Hello, I just happened to come across a Crosman 140 that was given to me by a family member. The stock on it was in bad shape with nicks and white paint scuffs that wouldn't come out so I am currently working on refinishing it. A couple questions i have are what type of wood is used and what type of finish is suggested to get the most original finish back. And for the fore stock i am unsure of how to get it off, it seems to be held in by pins and id like to know if theres an easy way of removing them without damaging the wood. Also my seals on the pump are bad and id like to know where to locate replacements. Any sort of help or advice would be greatly appreciated. |

I would leave the forearm on when you refinish if you want to take it off the pins that hold it on are hollow drill through them.. now you know were the pin come out enlarge the holes just enough to tap the pins out there just pressed in and not hard to take out ...I use tru-oil work great and easy to use ........

YES!!!! Another 140!
Check with Alan Schweitzer at http://abairgun.com/
I sent mine to him about 3 weeks ago. He got it back to me working great in just 2 weeks and for only about $55 or so plus shipping. He replaced all the seals and put in a new valve. Works beautifully.
I pulled it out of it's mailing box, pumped it up and shot a 3/4" group at 10 meters.
Hey, post some pics of it. I'd love to see it.
Here she is. A thing of beauty. Not bad looking for being 53 years old.
