Well, technically it's "GAMO USA" in respect to the ads- but obviously the parent company (if indeed they are the same company- GamoUSA may just be an importing agent) doesn't have much issue with it.
Either way- that sort of ad should be frowned upon and condemned for the image it puts out on hunting and airgunning (not necessarily together, they could be mutually exclusive on an issue such as this). Maybe if you're a 13-year-old sadist, videos like that have their place, but certainly there is no place for it in either the hunting or airgun worlds. |

| At this point in the festivities let me put in a plea to play nice when Gamo owners show up around here. There are a host of reasons why someone might own a Gamo; let's not make them feel unwelcome because we condemn the manufacturer's advertising. |

To all the ones that thought it was a staged set up--You are absulutly right,I think.
Watch right before the pellet is fired, the hog moves its front feet.It looks like fronts legs are tied with a rope.
You have to look very carefully, but the leaves move between it legs and to the hogs right side, your left.Might could see it better on youtube viewing it bigger.
Do you guys see that also? |

Thank you Slavia I can't agree more. The video was awful and those who published it should be condoned! I'm basically a target shooter but if the opertunity arose to have rabbit for dinner then I would take it as long as I could be sure of a clean, quick, humane kill at close range! I feel comfy at 10m but if you see my target for week 63 you will understand why I would not go for any longer shots. I'm just not good enough in my own mind yet! |

| Oops...unfortunate typo. Instead of "condoned" I assume you meant "condemed" easy miss, the "n" is right beside the "m". I once typed an E-letter to my congressman and used the word "like" but instead of hitting the "l" I hit the "k" next to it and it ended up an ethnicly inapproprate word...and I sent it before I caught. that of course required a letter explaining the typo. They can be "nurder" errrr...I mean "murder". |

Whole countries have gone down on typo's.
"All ships follow me" where thought to be the last words of Karel Doorman.
"Doorman became a Dutch naval hero because of his supposed last words to the fleet: „Ik val aan, volg mij!” ('I'm attacking, follow me'). In reality, he only issued the command All ships follow me to prevent confusion when the damaged HMS Exeter sailed back to harbour. Doorman just wanted to indicate that his ships should follow him and not the Exeter.
Karel Doorman died when his flagship De Ruyter was struck by a Japanese torpedo and sank during the Battle of the Java Sea. He voluntarily remained with the crippled and wounded who could not abandon ship, thereby honoring the naval tradition to go down with the ship he commanded." |

| But I tried the Crosman Silver Eagle HP pellets. Shot them in my R7 which shoots 10 different pellets in a 20 cal hole at 20yds. NOT THOSE! The non lead Eagles grouped 1.2" @ 7yds! Keyholing no less! And that shudder that goes with shooting light pellets in springers? That is the reverse harmonic of the piston slamming into the end of the chamber going BACK down the spring! Continued use will cause spring and seal damage. Shot about 10 pellets and gave the tin away! And Gamos are good guns, I set up a carbine synthetic stock (about the same size, power as a HW30) 10 years ago with a Beeman peep sight and it's still zeroed in to this day! My friend who owns the gun gave it to his neighbor to get him 'hooked'! |

Well, for that we can say that that video wasn't made 10 years ago, so we can state that Gamo was still good at that time. |

Crosman has now discontinued those non-lead pellets- not much market for them, pricier than the lead units, and as you mention- most people thought they shot like crap. |
