Anyone ever buy an NCStar scope?
If so- how was the quality and features and what other brand are they most comparable to in respect to clarity and overall quality? |

I got one on my 350 pro compact. 10-40x50 with the side wheel.
One of the major complaints is that you cant lock the turret's after adjusting them, so a little brush with your arm will set off a few clicks then you have to re-zero.
Next is the parallax only goes down to 20 yards
and my final gripe is that the optics are OK but then again I have not looked threw any other 10-40 scopes.
This scope did time on my Gamo Viper,500-800 rounds then got moved to my 350 and has been fine for a wile now maybe 800 rounds.
So all in all I'm happy with the NC Star scope hope I have helped a little, I will also post a pic , the gun on top is the 350 pro with the NC star next one down is also a 350 reg with a leapers 6-24 which is a little longer.

That non-locking turret thing might be a tad irritating allright! |

That's a big scope too.
From what I've read they suffice. |

I have had two of them plus two red dots...
3-9x40 Snyper - on my 2250
4x30 Compact - on my 1077 that I sold
(Old photo showed on my 2250)
30mm "Closed" Red Dot - on my tactical 1077
20mm "Open" Red Dot - on my 2240 tactical
They get the job done... They are not loaded with features...
"Good" scope for the price...
The only real issues that I have had is... the open 20mm red dot needs to be brighter and the compact had a really short eye relief. |

No more compacts for me.... Like above... Too short of eye relief and just over all un happy with it...
The 3-9x40 and the Closed Red Dot are the only NcStar scopes/sights that I am happy with...
The only thing that I would change on the 3-9x40 would be... illuminated cross hairs.
I will be in the market for a better Red Dot or pistol scope for my 2240...
If I go with a pistol scope... (Long eye relief) it must have variable power... and the illuminated cross hairs... |
