This brand new pellet from Daystate is the result of a joint development between Daystate and innovative British pellet manufacturer Pax.
Daystate was impressed by the Defiant pellet made by Pax, but wanted to improve it for optimum performance in Daystate airguns.
They came up with the Rangemaster High Energy.
These high quality, domed, lead pellets are subject to a selection process and then pre-lubed to ensure consistency.
Tony Belas of Daystate states that these pellets have a better ballistic coefficient than any other pellet available. The shorter length of the pellet allows it to fly flatter and with up to one-third less windage than other well known brands.
This Pellet is reputed to deliver twice the energy out to 50 yards than other pellets, also suppost to be very accurate but that is debatable according to local forums.

Dang, you don't want a break barrel to fire THAT pellet. (Maybe a sidelever, that is cocked by a Diesel loc.) |

| Is that really a pellet display, or some sort of adult-products convention? |

At $30.00 a box for .177 they have to be exotic.

Without having the pellet in front of me, it looks like the length to width ratio of the model is about 1.2. Using the Greenhill formula relating twist rate to bullet size for a .22 caliber pellet:
Twist (inches per turn) = 150 X (Diameter squared)/length
Gives an optimal twist rate of 1 turn in 27.5 inches.
This seems a little high; for example, my Slavia is 1:18, and my Avanti 853 is 1:21.
Are Daystate's twist rates matched to the pellet? |

Okay Slavia...
Since I suck at math... so tell me... What would be the dimensions of a to "Scale" RWS Hobby "wad cutter" .22 cal pellet if it was 1.25" in diameter… I am out of 2” stock and want to turn a “to scale” paper weight… |

Measure the dimentions of said pellet and then multiply
all dimensions by the desired degree of enlargement. You
could try different values of multiplication untill you reach
the size that you want. |

I suck at math... I do better by just looking at it and judging the proportions. |

Can you provide the dimesions of the pellet of which you speak (type)?
I only have Superdomes or I could measure one and give you the
dimensions you seek. |

Joe -
I don't have that particular pellet, but since you are making a decorative piece, here is a .177 RWS Meisterkugeln. The black numbers are actual, and the green (circled) numbers are scaled for a piece of 1.25" stock. You'll have to guess at the hollow in the skirt.
At least I hope you're making a decorative piece.
