Hey guys, new here. I'm considering puchasing a 2250xt in the near future.

I want to know what I would have to do to increase the velocity of the gun (advertised ~560fps) to maybe 650 max 750.

I plan to buy the fittings so it can accept a 9oz co2 bottle, which will get me more shots per fill.

But what will I have to do to make it shoot a little faster? If by making it faster will sacrifice the accuracy (groups larger than 1/2" at 20 yards off a bench) I would rather not do anything. I feel that a hunting pellet gun needs atleast 600fps or be able to drive tacks at 30 yards.

I plan to use the rifle for squirrel, bunny, (maybe) groundhog, opossum, (maybe) raccoon, and larger birds.

Speed is impressive, accuracy is deadly.

Put an 18" barrel on it and smooth out the internal valve passages and you would be above 600fps without affecting accuracy. Heck, with the longer barrel maybe the accuracy would actually improve.

Wow... 60 yards... I love the stalk so I usually get below 15 yards.

Are you familiar with Mountain Air? Already moded and you can get it for either bulk or standard. of course, what you want to consider is cost both ways.
