I have a couple of the GRTIII, and like 'em ALOT better than the stock Crosman or Gamo trigger.
Now, if there were only a way to put one in the Daisy 120 {Gamo cadet} . . . Twisted Evil

Real accurate, but a nicer trigger could make it better . . .

By the way, anybody know the part numbers of the MACCARI´S spring, piston seals and spring guide for GAMO CFX?

I believe this unit: http://www.airguns.citymax.com/catalog/item/251488/5414946.htm

is the spring used for the CFX, but you should check with Maccari first to be sure. Personally, I'm not a fan of his website- labeling of parts is generally poor and difficult to tell what parts will work with which rifles. The site in that link is Jim Maccari- so you can try emailing them for more information: http://www.airguns.citymax.com/page/page/251330.htm

Hi..Both the CFX & shadow have the same spring Gamo part No 16090
The Maccari spring to fit either is the E3650.
Seals are the small Apex or Tesla seal.
Breach O ring is 20mm X 1.5mm "If you are in there you may aswell replace it aswell"
A BSA Comet spring will also fit

I have to agree with Eric about the use of needle/roller bearings
for thrust bearings in a spring piston airgun. They cannot handle the
percussion and harsh vibration for very many cycles, even if
tempered materials are used. Many tuners have tried and abandoned
them in the past as when they finally fail, they usually do quite a
bit of damage to the surrounding internals.

Stick with hardened, polished washers as thrust bearings. If you polish the spring ends and all the surfaces that they contact like the tophat and guide (if metal) and the surface the guide sits on. I find that a washer in the piston is very helpful...the inside of the piston that the spring/guide sits on is usually rough and impossible to polish.

I own a CFX .177 and I dont see myself parting with it any time soon, it is a great gun ,very accurate and dependable. My gun is from the box and is still performing so well ,if it was tuned and trigger changed I guss I would not go to sleep
I have had the Hunter 440 and now also a Whisper and a Diana RWS 48 is somewhere in the post comming to me . But I love the CFX great gun I think it is the GAMO best .

I personally don't own one- but seeing as how the CFX was copied by the Chinese and the copies came out pretty well (B18s, B19s), then Crosman bought the rights to the platform from the Chinese for the North American market (sold, slightly modified, as the Quest, Phantom, TAC-1, G1 and Remington Summit models)- maybe no one sees the need to purchase an "original" these days?!?

Please be aware that the CFX is cocked via an underlever system, while the B-18, B-19 and Crosman Quest, Phantom, TAC-1, G1 and Remington Summit are all cocked via a break-barrel system. Also, I believe the B18 & B19 models were in production before Gamo began building the CFX.
I have yet to find any directly interchangeable parts between the Gamo CFX and Crosman rifles except trigger groups which are similar enough such that they both will accept the GRT III replacement trigger.

Eric have you confused the CFX with an R-1?
