Hello from Winnipeg!
Been a long time lurker, but in my efforts to research potential modifications to a possible new acquisition, I registered a few days ago so I could view "the good stuff".
I must say I wasn't dissappointed; I found AGErics thread on the Phantom, and Slavia's thread on the G1 to be immensely informative. I'm considering purchase of a .177 Phantom; CTire is now carrying them north of the 49 parallel.
My current airguns are all pumpers and CO2 (Crosmans, QB), but I've never yet owned a springer before, and until earlier this year, I hadn't even shouldered one to try it out (other than my RRyder and my Son's Buck ). A couple weeks ago I got to try a .22 Phantom (as well as a bunch of others) at a local Meet and Shoot, and I was quite impressed with the Phantoms heft, feel, power and accuracy. That I was actually able to hit what I was shooting at a couple times in a row, got me over my concerns of "hold sensitivity" that's often discussed about springers.
I see there are many familiar handles that I recognize from other forums, and others that I feel I almost know, just from lurking here so long. Seems like a good bunch of people, and I hope I can fit right in. Like I said, my current guns are a little more "low brow" than most of what I've seen here, but I'll try to post a couple of things a few of you may find interesting, as long as nobody points when they laugh, and you don't mind answering some newbie questions about spring guns.
Now, carry on with the "roasting of the newbie". |

Welcome to the forum!
There's no "roasting" of the newbies usually- but a few people get kicked around here and there... |

There is all the information you could ever ask for here.Air Gun Eric does a great job keeping this forum up to date and running smooth,do not be ashamed to ask a question even if you think its stupid, that's called learning.
The Panther you mentioned is a variant of many other guns.Eric is a pro on this maybe he will chime in and give you the others that share this power plant.
Again Welcome to the forum!
