Does anyone here own the Crosman G1 Xtreme? If so, how do you like it?
I own one and I really enjoy shooting it. |

Hello, Welcome to AirGunHome.com
The G1 Extreme is the same platform as the Quest/Phantom/Remington Summit, the Tac-1 and probably something else I'm forgetting.
Here's one that was a project for Slavia: http://www.airgunhome.com/agforum/viewtopic.php?t=1760
If it's shooting straight and consistent, there's nothing to complain about for the price! |

I got my G1 off the clearance rack at Walmart, mostly just to see what I could do with it. It is O.K. for the price.
Looking back on it, here's what I would consider "minimum" mods:
1. I would polish and lube the barrel latching parts (those chisel shaped things). My barrel latches much more securely now; before it would sometimes come unlatched when I placed the gun on a rest.
2. At least use blue Loctite on the barrel pivot screw, head and threads. Even better, put in a locking setscrew. Mine was always coming loose.
3. Polish the muzzle crown. This will pay back noticeable benefits with a minimum of fuss and expense.
4. Install a GRT III trigger. I chose to make my own parts, but the GRT does the same thing, and will transform the gun. Plus it is a simple drop-in modification, and $35.00 USD isn't a bad price for what you will get out of it.
