That equals over 835 mph. I doubt if the MB will aproach that,
though sometimes, at high speed, it feels like it. |

| Standard pellet shape (skirted) tends to tumble baddly past the speed of sound. That's the reason a lot of the newer light rounds don't do well in the more powerful springers, etc. More power we tend to use heavier pellets to keep the flight near but below super sonic. |

not airgun related at all.... but this sort of thing is what i do for a living, my bread and butter....
back firing on decel. is caused by 3 things.. listed in order of likelihood:
1 pilot circuit lean (also called slow speed or idle circuit)
2 improper placement of exhaust crossover, if any, allowing fresh air to rush into the exhaust due to lowering pressure waves in exhaust
3 excessive valve timing overlap causing same condition as #2
on our racebikes we dont normally tune the pilot circuit, just enough for it to start and idle down pit lane.
