Different coloured details are pretty nice. I'm gonna paint some of the scope mount screws to match the colour on the rest of the details of my Crosman 22XX.

It's 13:06 right now over here.

That's six past one.

Anyway, with "different colours" I don't mean to put a different color on every detail, but all details in the same colours. For instance the breech, barrel band, end cap, front cap, scope mount screws, and what ever. Neutral

What innards did you order?

I'm having a hard time finding the parts to order to increase the muzzle velocity on my 2250.

There's only a few things you can do to increase the velocity on the 2250 (or any Co2 gun for that matter): a longer barrel, valve smoothing/chamber expansion, and valvespring and hammer adjustments. The valve and spring mods to get more Co2 to the barrel, faster- and the longer barrel to give the Co2 time to expand completely. Every power increasing device out there is doing one or both of these things.

24" Crosman barrel, part #2260-003
18" Crosman barrel, part #2400-102
Hammer spring- you can use whatever you can find that will snap the hammer a bit harder.

Thanks a lot. I hadn't been able to find the part number anywhere in internet land. I'm ordering the 24in barrel.

eric,

You once before mentioned using the 14" 2289-xxx barrel in a 2240/50/60. IYHO, with that barrel, a boss bulk valve, hammer spring job, I would have the makings of a good small game pistol/rifle? About the largest game I'd concider is geese, and only within say 15 yards or less.

It would be adequate for small game- but using an 18" barrel would likely give you maximum power, especially with a modified (Boss) valve setup. Crosman has 18" barrels, or you could use a more readily available 24" barrel, cut it down and re-crown it.

How about making it into a PCP with a 500cc titanium reservoir
and LW barrel.

Why LW? There are plenty other great (priced) barrels on the market. An LW isn't the best thing on the market.

You will require a "take down" stock for backpacking or the ASA paintball tank with a on/off valve...

Then it will all fit neatly in the back pack...
