Haven't found but one or two comments from users and one from a seller.
Anyone have expereince with this gun?
Anyone know any reviews that I haven't found?

My friend owns the gun. It's awesome. You will love it. 
Make sure you get the .22, 40 Joule version! It will be capable of doing 100 meters with the right pellets.

There certainly seems to be a scarcity of reviews on the 1250, doesn't there?
It is the 'father' model of the Umarex/Hammerli AirMagnum850 which everyone seems to love- so I might suggest it seems likely it is a decent gun, and it appears its price has come down quite a bit over the last year... |

| Yeah, seems like a good deal but I'm a bit concerned about fewer user reviews. Sometimes that can meen that it isn't doing well in sales for whatever reason. |

It's a catch-22 situation- no one buys it, it gets no reviews, so no one buys it...
It's problem may be market positioning- it is/was a higher-end gun, and it had a much higher price previously (it was based on the LG-110 which was a $2500.00 target rifle) so very very few people bought it. Now the price has come way down, people are assuming it must be junk as a result.
Maybe order one from a vendor that has a "no questions asked" return policy- AoA? PyramydAir? I don't know who has such a policy, but someone must! That way if it doesn't work out, all you end up paying is shipping back-forth on it. |

I wonder if it has the same match grade barrel with the mirror
finished bore as the Airforce rifles.
I also wonder if the receiver is made out of aluminum or the same die
cast (pot metal) that they use in their CO2 guns? |

It's not as expensive as an Airforce, it's a repeater with the smootest repeating system I've found on an affordable PCP, and it is very very accurate. I think that the barrels are high grade.
Besides, die cast has a degree in quality too, and this one is great.
It's their best gun on the market before paying more then a $ 1000.
This is a shot string of my friend's rifle:
(He used 5,52mm JSB's, but they were of a very poor quality. This is due to the fact that JSB is behind on production because they have the most popular pellets on the market, at least over here. In the NL we recon that this is because of this behind on schedule thing, but it's still very impressive. The reservoir can be filled to 300 Bar, but why would you want that? This way you can have plenty of shots at a very reasonable speed.)

Bullet speeds, in meters per second. I'll make it really easy for you:
Bar is the pressure you fill your reservoir with. Either by pump or SCUBA tank. Make sure that IF you get one, you have a 300 BAR SCUBA tank.
What you will usually us to fill it to about 225 BAR. This means that you can fill to your reservoir 225 a lot of times, because the pressure in the 300 BAR tank is much higher and thus you will be able to get more fills from it.
After that, you will shoot untill pressure drops to about 200, or 180, and then you refill to 225 again. This way you will keep your average around 270. Off course, with the right pellets you will be able to have a little more consequent numbers on your bullet speeds. These measures were taken using low quality pellets. I can ask the guy to make another shot spring with his now favorite pellets, of which I assume that they are Barracudas.
Another small explanation is this:
275 Mps (Meter Per Second) = 902 Fps (Feet per second)
231 Mps = 757 Fps (But this is after 50 shots.)
In FPS, the spread seems quite but you will always have this with a PCP,
unless you got one that has an expensive regulator in it, but that will be a bit more pricey. |

This is an old thread, but I feel obligated to point out the 1250 Dominator is rated to a fill pressure of 4350 (300 bar).
At full fill to 300 bar it is reported to shoot upto 100 full power shots in the .177 caliber version.
Even in a Marauder the fill pressure is more limited by valve and hammer spring settings than by safety. |
