I bought a Crombro chronoscope last year and I am delighted with it, It records fps, flb, averages ect, Last week I bought a PC link cable for it and it turns the basic Crony in to a automatic data collecting unit.

When used with a laptop or PC there is a big resizable display which shows fps and flb, also plays sounds if you go over the set fps, at the same time it creates a log file that can be used with MS Excel or Works, the connection is a 9 pin Serial connector but on my laptop I use a serial to USB converter.

All in all an excellent piece of kit, and the cable only cost £8.95 Inc p&p.

BTW I have no connection at all with Crombro just delighted with their product, a lot of people have the basic crony but with the cable it is an entity different machine.

I hear a lot of good things about that Crony, Al. I do hear that they can have a hard time with CO2 rifle.

Hi Anton
I've had no problem with Co2, most of my guns use it, I think some people have a problem when they are pouring to much Co2 out of the end of their barrel, in the form of mist. But if that is happening then something is wrong with the setup of the gun I would have thought.

I have used mine on bb guns and .22 rimfire and provided you line it up correctly and have good batteries then no problem.

Al

No question you are getting a "muzzle velocity". Mr. Green

I use an older Chrony and a PACT4 designed for firearms with blast that can damage thigs too close. My "muzzle velocities", therefore are actually from about a foot and a half out with airguns. Still, some information is better than no information.

I take it that it's not the model that calculates fpe.
