This is a call to everyone on the forum.
As many of you may know,,, many old Crosman rifles and pistols will only feed the Crosman .22 Wadcutters properly.600's and my PellMaster tap loader do not function very well unless they are on a steady diet of these pellets.
If everyone sends Crosman an e-mail and asks them to please keep producing these pellets maybe we can stop a bad thing.I have tried other brand pellets and sooner or they it hang up.
There already getting very hard to find around my neck of the woods."Mich"
I'm asking everyone to take a little time to send Crosman an e-mail and ask them to keep making this brand of pellets.
Part Number is P/N 6022B001
Link to Crosman contact by e-mail: http://www.airguns.com/contact

Thank You
BBGun Bob

This just recently surfaced on the Green.

Here's the funny part- they have been discontinued- since February of this year.

Just so everyone is clear, it is the .22 cal Blister Pack Wadcutters being talked about, part # 7522. The other .22 cal Wads in smaller packages were still available, but obviously they are gone now too.

Personally, I am unfamiliar with the part# 6022B001 that has been posted here and elsewhere- where did this part number come from? It doesn't match the usual Crosman structure for pellet part numbers.

When I went to order more from a distributor in February and they were out of stock, I asked "what's the ETA on a new shipment?". The answer was "never- they've been discontinued". I called Crosman up to confirm if I was being fed some sh!t sandwich and they confirmed it- discontinued, gone, sayanara, hasta la vista, etc. etc.

The fact that distributors have finally run out of stock on them-6 months after the fact- thus spurring this "surprise" to people should serve as proof they obviously were not a popular product. Crosman, lest some of us have forgotten it, markets primarily to the noobie airgun owner who buys their gun at WalMart, KMart, SportMart- or whatever big box store is in their area.

For anyone who was paying attention- PyramydAir had pulled them from their website when they ran out of stock- about 2 months ago.

If anyone thinks about it- Wads have typically been used for target shooting, and almost everybody shooting posted targets is using .177 cal guns. This is not to say there shouldn't be any .22 cal Wads, and there are still a number of them on the market- just none are "cheap"- i.e. RWS/Diana Hobbies and Meisterkugelns, Beeman Bearcubs, H&N .22 Match, Gamo .22 Match and I'm sure a few more.

Along the same lines, Crosman has been cranking their prices up since the beginning of the year and they have been climbing in price faster than any other pellet manufacturer.

Perhaps they lost sales due to the constantly rising prices, and instead of looking at their own business action as being the cause- they assumed it was just that some specific products were just not fashionable anymore- i.e. .22 Wads.

Either way- am I going to complain to Crosman? No- they are the ones that are going to lose here. if they continue with the price increases and their products start to cost as much as alot of the European brands- i.e. RWS/Diana, H&N, etc. they will destroy their entire pellet business- not just the Wads.
