Plinking at Soda Cans
1) Target to download and print: Week 42; Jun/30>Jul/06/2008

Print to full-size on an A4 or 8.5"x11" sheet of paper.
2) Shooting distance is 5m/16.4ft for pistols.
3) Shooting distance is 10m/32.8ft for rifles.
4) Any sighting device may be used.
5) NO rests or steadying aids are allowed.
6) 24 shots at targets, 2 per soda can. 5 sighting/practice shots not on the clock using center 'tab' target.
7) 15 minutes total time (take whatever amount of time for each shot you like, but at 15 minutes-stop!).
8) Scoring is 10 points for Co-cola, blue & gray, 3 point for the rest and no points for white. Only two hits per can counts.
Maximum point count is 142. Do not hit explosives ~ explosives Subtract 25 points!
9) Entries need to be scanned or photographed and posted. Please list gun, pellet, sighting device and total time expended.
10) You can enter using both pistol and rifle as separate entries- but all rules must be followed for each.
11) Score your own target. Winner and Runner-Up will be verified by board officials.
12) This is an honorable contest for sport- if you lie or cheat, you are the only one who really loses. Please keep it above-board!
13) Each competition runs from Monday to Sunday. Your entry must be posted in the forum no later than 23:00 GMT Sunday.
14) These rules are for this week's shooting competition and may change for others.

Might finally have worked out enough glitches to be on time again . . .

Cheers J I'll have to get some red ink for the printer, so that I can get the right colours on the target, it should make life easier. Smile

Got an old printer here that may last a few more targets. Ink carts drying out Evil or Very Mad is a problem between the summer temps and running the dehumidifier.

I must be dioing something wrong cause i only count 22 shots, I did not shoot at the white cans and that would make it 26 shots total...so

I'll post the picture soon but i got a score of 116 with my 2240

The can in the center {tab showing} is to sight in with, off the clock. Both of the white cans are also targets.
There are 5 cans worth 10 points for a hit and 7 cans worth 3 points for a hit.

{and BTW ~ good luck Wink }

ok, i'm pretty happy with this one- esp since i didn't let the "boom booms" psych me out. fun target- thanks.

Daisy 747, Daisy precision max, open sights, one hand 5m 9 minutes.

116/142-actually, i think i miss counted the green can on the left, which gives me 113/142
