Who cares if we put a whole bunch of excess lead into the environment? That's why we all are having so many kids...That way there are more people in the future to clean it up!

Thanks, cliffspot. That is exactly what I was thinking about.

Very interesting day yesterday.
I tried the Gold(?) Raptors in my Crossman 1377 pumper.
5 pumps and they sailed! I mean they sailed!
Watched them go down range like a screwball!
Moved target different ranges and 2 shot groups confirmed (I think) what I was seeing.
Actually watched them fly like a cork screw. Interesting? Yes! But not much good for anything.
I've never seen that before. What was happening?
Not just one shot, I fired off a good 20 and they all screwed the same amount and rate of spirel. Strange! And they grouped rather well. just depending on the range if they'd hit hi, right, left, low. Looked like a 8-10" corkscrew. Really noticable,,, and consistant.
Switched back to Superdomes and all was well again.

But is Gamo appealing to those who want lead free ammo or those who want high velocity ammo?

In fact, I think the PBA ammo is just a ruse Gamo uses so that they can inflate the FPS ratings on thier rifles, which I'm sure is more profitable than their ammo sales.

Ruse, or Not,,I've found nothing wrong with them, and they're just as competively priced as other "specialty" pellet's on the market today. I actually can't wait for the .22 "Raptor PBA's" to come out next month, and I'm on the waiting list at Pyramid Air,LOL, With the amount of hunting I do each year(air, and powder), I'm alway's willing to try something different(Cross-Bow this fall for Buck's), especially when it puts me in winning column, and when I find it, I stick with it,(at least until the next too good to be true product comes along Wink), and as far as the "spiraling" of the pellet, we used to see that sometimes with tracers coming out of our GPMG's on night fire's, but not all the time, and you'd see that all the time with a Carl Gustav 84mm ATW(Carl G Twisted Evil ), It used to make us scratch our head's too,,,anyway's I'm starting to ramble, Cheer's, Andy.

Wouldn't mind getting some of those .22 raptor pellets just to see what they look like. Too bad they aren't going to make .20 cals, I'd like to try them in my talon.
