During supper we got a call from a neighbor. She just said, "look out your front door." Neither my wife, daughter, nor I heard anything. No wind to speak of - the tree next door just decided to let go.
You can rejoice with me in the fact that: 1. Nobody was on the sidewalk, and 2. I belong to the skinny one (the others are neighbors).

"Yup, shoore looks like a tree..."- j/k.
It's always good when the ladies have pets-
Have a bit of a wind issue over the weekend? |

$50,000 - yikes is right!
When it fell, the wind was calm. It was windy the day before, and maybe it was weakened then. The owner of the tree took care of removal. She knew a young man just starting out in the landscaping business, and who would come on short notice on a holiday. He had it hauled away in 30 minutes. Pretty amazing.
But since it is an airgun forum - Mona down the street is a retired Atari game programmer turned internet herb vendor/master gardener. She has a squirrel problem. The tree shielded us from public view while we conducted a little airgun training in the backyard. With my wife's blessing, no less. |

Hey! You can let her know I still use my Atari 2600 periodically. My daughter likes 'Galaxian'. |
