I'm looking over a Daisy 1894 BB gun for a friend and don't want to dig into it too fast without having a basic diagram in front of me. Anyone know where one might be hiding out here in cyberspace?

Also- the gun does not appear to have a proper barrel/tube on it- looking down the muzzle, there's a plain 1/2" wide hole- certainly not a proper .177-ish barrel. Someone remove a/the barrel itself and left the tube behind?

Try this link:

http://www.muzzle.de/N3/Druckluft/Daisy_1894__Spittin__Image_-_W/daisy_1894__spittin__image_-_w.html

It has a parts diagram as well as a photograph of the muzzle. It looks like a thin wall barrel terminating in an end plug. Both that end plug and the end plug for the magazine tube are held by a phillips-head screw coming up from underneath.

The parts diagram does not show the slide safety on the side of the receiver. The older ones didn't have it. (Like the one I had in the early '60's.) The older ones also don't have the saddle ring. Here's mine:

Aha! Thanks for the link.

Seems this 1894 is missing the shot tube and cap. It is actually a Sears Roebuck version of the gun from around 1970- a model 799.

Not worth spending money on I don't think- so maybe we'll see if my friend is willing to let me keep it around for parts that may come up in the future...
