Air Gun Home Forum Index » Target Shooting: Casual, Fun and Competition » AirGunHome Shooting Competition Week 36 Goto page 1, 2  Next    View previous topic :: View next topic  AirGunHome Shooting Competition Week 36   Posted: Mon May 12, 2008 1:27 am 23ib0d0n Moderator Joined: 21 May 2007 Posts: 757 1) Target to download and print: Week 36; May/12>May/18/2008 Print to full-size on an A4 or 8.5"x11" sheet of paper. 2) Shooting distance is 5m/16.4ft for pistols. 3) Shooting distance is 10m/32.8ft for rifles. 4) Any sighting device may be used. 5) NO rests or steadying aids are allowed. 6) 16 shots at targets, 2 per ring. 10 sight in/practice shots not on the clock using center '8'. 7) 10 minutes total time (take whatever amount of time for each shot you like, but at 10 minutes-stop!). 8) Scoring is 10 points for green, 2 points for black and no points for white. Only two hits per ring counts. Maximum point count is 160. 9) Entries need to be scanned or photographed and posted. Please list gun, pellet, sighting device and total time expended. 10) You can enter using both pistol and rifle as separate entries- but all rules must be followed for each. 11) Score your own target. Winner and Runner-Up will be verified by board officials. 12) This is an honorable contest for sport- if you lie or cheat, you are the only one who really loses. Please keep it above-board! 13) Each competition runs from Monday to Sunday. Your entry must be posted in the forum no later than 23:00 GMT Sunday. 14) These rules are for this week's shooting competition and may change for others. I'm going to try to get out there today and sling a little lead.That will be a hard target to beat my man,and with a pistol at that.I mounted a pistol scope on my RWS P5 Magnum but have to do a little work to get it right.The recoil keeps ripping the screws out of the action.I may just tack weld(heliarc) the scope rail to the action.So far even with screws and JB weld under it it still comes loose.Lots of recoil in that pistol. I clicked on target week #36 to enlarge "full size" and I clicked print. Well it came out with one edge missing half the targets on that side! Now I see that it appears the targets on these threads look to be 8.5X11 but on thier side. My printer tries to print it side to side 8.5 and up & down 11. How can I get my printer to see them 90 degrees rotated? I did print out two and I cut bottom off one and taped it on where the printer left off but I don't want to go through that every week! You will see several different angles that you can select to print on. You know sometimes I get that window that asks how I want to print and sometimes I don't (I have no idea why) When I click on the printer symbol at the top it starts printing right away!? It is in the scanner waiting for me to screw it up LOL Just incase it won't work I used my old 1955 Daisey model#94 Red Ryder. I used the original rear peep sight and ground down front! I was shooting Copperhead BBs. I took the liberty of shooting at 5 yards due to the inherant inaccuracy of this gun (please feel free to disqualify me) My score was 6/160! I did shoot a 2nd target and got an incredible LOL 32/160! There's no problem posting an entry which dosn't qualify, as long as you tell us, a few people don't have a scanner or printer but they still post just for the hell of it Were just waiting for Slavia now!
