Well guy's today I finally unpacked the Disco.I bought it 4-5-08.while at that show in Findaly,OH. but had it hid from ma-ma ! She finally had some social event to go to which gave me time to unpack it ,scope it and pump her up.From 0 to 2000 psi it took 126 pumps from the pump supplied with the gun.I shot it 36 times before it went down to the otherside of the green on the Disco pressure gage which I believe is 1000 psi Then I filled it up to the 2000psi mark again that took 36 pumps!! one shot a pump not bad. It was to cloudy to use the chronograph I did try but kept getting errors.
I was using 14.2gr. Gamo Match wadcutters and it was hitting HARD.Its not as loud as some say,about 1/3 more than a CR 1077 or a 2250.At least it did not bother the neighbors and it was pretty quiet in the neighborhood today.There's usually a bunch of little guys running around screaming and hollaring but they were gone for some reason.I mounted a Barska Varmint 6-24X42 scope on it.It took about 6 shots to get it in a 1/2 " circle and 4 more to put it in 1/4" bull @ 32 feet.
I have to tell you guys it is accruate as hell.It will pop-um into a cloverleaf group just about everytime.
I did not alter it before I shot it.I just cleaned out the bore with a .22 swab with Goo-Gone on it untill a patch came out clean.
The trigger is not bad but could use a little tweeking.Pull is very short and break is crisp and clean at second stage.I think a lighter spring and a stone/polish to the trigger group will make it a very nice target shooter.
I have to admit it sure is nice to just open the breech throw a pellet in and shoot again. And no recoil! ! Wow is that ever nice.I could be headed to the darkside real soon.

By the way....I just wait till she feels bad about something and then say "oh, by the way I ordered a couple of new air rifles." Worked so far.

Enjoy the new rifle. What are you planning for it? Hunting or back yard target killing?

Except for the intake valve nut. that handpump
looks identical to my Airforce handpump.

Well, it's performing surprisingly well, or so it seems. I wonder if it's going to break down anytime soon or not.

A friend of mine works at a metal-processing plant and he tested several different types of steel on a steel-measuring machine (or whatever). Seems that Gamo, Crosman, Hatsan, Chinese brands, are all using steel of a quality hugely inferior to Brands like Weihrauch, Diana, Air Arms, etc. So back to the discussion on what brands are better, it seems that if you're going for quality steel, you're best of with afore mentioned brands.

Nice gun, and the amount of pumping involved doesn't seem excessive. Way better than a multi-stroke pneumatic. You can get the pumping over with, let your heart rate settle down, and commence to shooting.

My wife doesn't know what she's looking at, either. Much like I have no clue why she needs three sewing machines, but the logic must be the same. For a while I could answer her questions by saying, "Oh, that's one of my dad's guns."

My brother and I did a year-long swap once. Then I could say, "Oh, that's one of my brother's guns."

My son is miraculously wonderful, but sometimes kids can be blabbermouths. A few years ago I bought an SKS. I placed just the gas tube on the dining room table, and my son said, "Daddy, is that the gas tube from an SKS? Do you have an SKS? Does mommy know you have an SKS? Can I shoot it?" He had never seen the gun before, except in magazines and catalogs. It took 100 rounds to keep him quiet.

Dang, I got 2 real working guns here, and 2 that are still not perfectly in order, but pretty alright too, who would have thought THAT a year ago. Mr. Green

I'm also going to get a Haenel 310.

Back on topic, Bob, do you have any radical tunin' or pimpin' thoughts on the rifle, or are you gonna keep it original, with a few minor tunes.

Hey Bob one pump one shot, thats no better than a springer! you'll have to get a bigger pump. I was expecting something like 50 pumps = 100 shots, I think I'll stick with Co2 for now.

Mind you if I can find someone near me who fills scuba tanks I might be tempted.

I don't know. it looks pretty good, but a couple of springers hit quite a bit harder. the repeat shots are a plus, but for a pcp I'd like more hitting power. Of course, I've only seen the numbers on paper. Maybe when you can chrono it it'll look better than it's rated, who knows qhat pellet weight they checked it with.
