Hi, I'm new to the forum. I have a white powder that has formed in the checkering ( I see the same powdre on old River Runt plastic lures) any idea what it is and how to get rid of it.

remove the grips and soap and a tooth brush works for me

Yes. Then when they are clean and dry, Armor-All will restore the shine.

Wash the grips with straight bleech to kill bacteria after tge toohbrush scrub job let dry the use armorall

I'm not sure if it's mold, or oxidation from age. (The Crosman site shows the dates of manufacture from 1958-1968.) The same kind of thing happens to synthetic polymers on automobiles, only quicker. Exposure to the sun causes them to get dull. Anyway, even if it's not the plague bleach can't hurt.
