OK after reading up on various gun control bills that some states are passing or haved passed, which all have bans on high capatiey magazines, how could this affect airguns that have over the legal limit in these states?
IMHO I think nobody even thought about airguns when these laws were written up. So the state courts could go either way on this. |

I suspect it may be relevant whether or not the airgun is considered a "firearm" in that state. If it is, then it's magazines would have the same legal restrictions. If airguns are not considered "firearms" then it may be totally dependent on the precise wording of the law- i.e. does the law explicitly state "firearm magazines" or something less precise such as "projectile magazines like those used on firearms" (notice the vagueness that can be useful to manipulation/interpretation). |

I think I should have worded this as "What restrictions will new GC laws put on airguns if any?" |
