April 29 - May 1st 2011 is the Annual PANSAL Spring Break in Idaho.
The Pansal "Live Field Target" Event is the only one of it's kind (to my knowledge) and is a "MUST DO" gathering.
Folks will be there from Idaho, Oregon, California and Washington State PLUS who knows where else!
Paper and Steel targets will be placed at measured distances, for practice, competition and Zeroing before the "Hunt".
AIR GUN ONLY Inventory will have Basics to Exotics, Beaters to Olympics, Bargain Basements to Big Bucks, Antiques to Modern Days, Rifles, Pistols and Piffles. There will be Springers, CO2 and of course PCPs. Some MAY even change ownership!
As always there will also be some..... "I never seen one of them before" types!!
Not only will there be Pellets flying but BBs, as well. Don't forget your Red Ryder.
Be aware, It IS Desert, so be prepared.
Last year we had cold days and hot days for this event.
Camp out on the BLM Land or local motels.
Contact Mike Edwards centerex@comcast.net for location and any other information desired.
I was notified by the Payette County Sheriff just this last weekend that the Game Warden will be out on patrol starting this week.
The State of Idaho requires a valid Hunting license to have a long gun in an open field, Hunting or not...
Non-Resident 3day small game license is $35.50
A valid Hunter Education # is required if born after Jan. 1st 1975
Wal-Mart in Caldwell is the closest place to buy your license.
Non-Resident App. http://fishandgame.idaho.gov/cms/licenses/apps/nonres_app.pdf
With all the rain... the fields are crawling with Whistle Pigs (Townsland Ground Squirrels).

Sounds like a cool AG orgy.
Maybe I'll be at the 2013 one. |

Dang, I wish I could go but my bicycle is broken and I don't feel like walking that stretch on my wooden shoes. |

First day... Blown out... 15-25 mph winds and some rain...
Saturday & Sunday look promising. |

That's the problem. They do float but whenever I walk across the Ocean US Coastguard pics me up and puts me back in Ireland. It's really annoying how terrorist threats have screwed up the system. Can't even walk stateside anymoar, and I do love me some walking... |

Day 2... fun shooting in 15 mph winds... and now I know what a windburn feels like...
Tomorrow promises to be the best weather day for this event... I'll shoot pics then...
My next air gun will defo be a FX monsoon... True Semi Auto and dead nuts accurate, even in this wind. |

Key word... "Air Gun"
If I go .17HMR... it will have to be a Volquartsen Semi Auto..... |
