All paintball Co2 tanks are supposed to have the same fitting- so if you have the correct adapter it should work. However, the weight of the gun with the larger tank may become an issue. Perhaps an adapter to allow the hookup of a hose to the 9oz tank would work better if this is what occurs.

thanks for your help eric, the 9oz tanks i`ve been looking at are paintball specific so the thread/fitting should be fine.

i`m thinking that i`ll only be using the 9oz tank for emergencies or when i`m sitting at a bench kinda thing so i`m not that worried about weight, guess i should go for the steel tank over the aluminium?

i am having trouble getting anything (refill Co2 tanks, bi-pods etc) sent to sydney australia from the US, just about everywhere says "shipping to US states only. aarrghhhh!! Evil or Very Mad

please let me know if you know of paintball/ gun accessory stores that ship to australia!

thanks again for all the help and a really great site Laughing

how is the bi-pod on the 1250 held on, does the 1250 have a swivel stud?

is this a mod that can be done to an 850?

i`d rather not fit a "clamp on" bi-pod to the barrel if i can avoid it..

Here: http://nzhunter.com/

They are in New Zealand- the owner's name is Ken and he seems like a good guy. Give him a shout and tell him I sent you. He can help with the bipod, but I'm not sure about the 9oz tank.

Roald is the best when it comes to the 850! Nice guy, he does great work. When I sent him my gun, he did a full velocity mapping of the gun. Ambient temp, type of pellet, SD, ES, AV FPS...all in a very concise layout that he emailed to me. And when he finished with the mods, another map was sent. he said I was lucky....he has done many 850's and mine was one of the most accurate he ever shot....one ragged hole groups at 30yds with 4 or 5 different pellets. he packs them well and turn around time is pretty good....don't know about now, I sent him my gun about almost 2 years ago!
