Hey guys i was wondering if the crossman 2250 would be a good little hunting buddy. We have an on going chipmunk war at our house we have tried everything from gasing, setting of fireworks down the holes and huge mouse traps. So know we are getting a live trap and executing them. Those chipmunks are destroying our foundation. So just wondering if that gun would take out squirrels, crows, pigeons and of course chipmunks. |

Do you already have it or are you going to buy it?
If youre going to buy it..then i suggest buying something else.
Look for a break barrel rifle. Very powerful and will take it out with ease.

A springer would be more powerful, but for chipmonk a 2250 will do fine. I like mine. It is however remember less powerful than the breakbarrel suggested above. I put a pistol grip on mine. You are talking co2 so barrel length matters. You get slightly improved performance as you move up through the 2240, 2250 and 2260 all basicly the same action but with more gas expantion in each.
It depends on what else you plan to do with the gun. 2250, I'd say nothing beyond squirrel at maybe 20 or 25 yards. With a springer....well it depends on what you pick out. |

Rabbits would be boderline for this gun, though it will do it. The 2260 was actually dubbed the Rabbit Stopper. Your 2250 was named the Rat Catcher. Gives ypu an idea what the mfg. might have had planned for them. |

Because it's not that hard to try a little. Since he used interpunction in his first post, I'm sure he's familiar with the buttons. I'm not expecting perfect grammar, but at least a bit of interpunction and sentences to make things look tidy.
Please stay on topic guys, if you disagree with my ways I'm available trough PM.
Just as an example:
Well then, because I like them both so much I think I might go with the 2250 first. Then in a couple of months when rabbit season starts, I will go ahead and buy the 2260 maybe in the SE.
Please don't take it personal. This goes for pretty much anyone on this forum without a grammar problem. I'm probably overlooking a lot already, but I gotta start somewhere, right?
Thanks for your understanding. |
