TRIED MANY PELLETS I bought aa model40 some years ago and had accuracy issues rignt away!
I tried resetting the Scope,Triggerand Lube tunin g.
NO USE
Tried many pellets no good!
Sent it out for a tune with Macarri springs, better action accuracy still intermittant???
I tried tightening the Barrel weight that kept loostening. accuracy inconsistant.
I removed the weight and BINGO!Accuracy to 60 yards! Using Crosmaan Prremier lights!
^he rifle is now one of my BEST long range .177's!
The heavy steel weight was too much!

It may have been the barrel weight- if you had to constantly re-tighten it- was shifting with virtually every shot -? |
