I got home to find a box sitting outside the door. My shipment of DOM tube, aluminum and delrin had arrived. Opened the door and there was another box inside the door Surprised my project rifles had arrived also. Perfect timmiing except I have to work tomorrow. I'll start a new thread on the 766 project once I get started.

I did a quick teardown on the 766 to see what I have to work with. This is the tapered plastic barrel version, it still has the soda straw barre but is encased in plastic instead of floating inside a tube.

The valve is a bit different on this model also, the rear half of the valve is part of the breach.

I got the valve disassembled and found the exhaust valve is shot. I have a spare but I want to see if I can repair this one.
