My name is Jeff and I have an air gun addiction.
Laughing
I can't seem to stop buying anything that catches my eye!
Recent buys include a QB6, a QB57, and a B3-1 that I have to mess with just because it needs that 'look' I'm after.

Welcome to the forum! The first step is to admit you have a problem. The second step is to tear it down and fix the problem. On second thought, it doesn't even matter if there is a problem. Tinker with it anyway.

Thanks for the Welcome. I do have a question.
As I am modding the B3-1 I may need to dump the bear trap stuff.
(Not that you could ever prove to me it works)
Are We allowed to talk about that kind of stuff?
Other forums don't allow that so I just want to stay inside forum rules.

Is the removal of an anti-beartrap mechanism by itself an unsafe act? I think it depends on how the discussion acknowledges the risk and then goes on to promote equipment mods and procedures that keep the operator safe in its stead.

Along the same lines- it is not "illegal" to do such a thing, or talk about it- but we must stress that removing safety devices is something we would advise against.

That being said, there really isn't much to talk about in that respect- remove the arm and spring/retainer and such a thing is gone- really, what more can be talked about in that respect?

Again, I nor anyone else here is advising anyone should do this.
