went to our local gun show yesterday with a savage single shot 12 guage that has a nasty kick. found a new in the box marked daisy 953 early model with very nice oil finished stock and l-w barrel. i traded and got $50. boot . when i got home it turned out to be a 853c and the serial number matched the box. it has all the sight inserts ,like 6 of them, sling, extra magazine, several paper targets, owners manual. i cleaned the barrel ,oiled the piston ring and hinge points. loaded it up and got 10 shots out of it . too windy to get her sighted in ,but hope to get to today. i was glad to get rid of that shotgun as its real brutal . guy said he was gonna cut it down to 18" for a house defense gun. so we both scored well. i see where a new 852 sells for $350-375 . |
