1) Target to download and print: Week 22; Feb/04>Feb/10/2008
Print to full-size on an A4 or 8.5"x11" sheet of paper.
2) Shooting distance is 5m/16.4ft for pistols.
3) Shooting distance is 10m/32.8ft for rifles.
4) Any sighting device may be used.
5) NO rests or steadying aids are allowed.
6) 20 shots at targets, 2 per ring target maximum.
5 sighting/practice shots not on the clock using red dot on the page.
7) 15 minutes total time (take whatever amount of time for each shot you like, but at 15 minutes-stop!).
8) Scoring is 10 points for the black, subtract 1 point for green and no points in the white.
Touching the edge of a colour counts for those points. Only two hits per ring target counts. Maximum point count is 200.
9) Entries need to be scanned or photographed and posted. Please list gun, pellet, sighting device and total time expended.
10) You can enter using both a pistol and a rifle as separate entries- but all rules must be followed for each.
11) Score your own target. Winner and Runner-Up will be verified by board officials.
12) This is an honorable contest for sport- if you lie or cheat, you are the only one who really loses. Please keep it above-board!
13) Each competition runs from Monday to Sunday. Your entry must be posted in the forum no later than 23:00 GMT Sunday.
14) These rules are for this week's shooting competition and may change for others. |

Oh yes!
I usually do terrible on this type of "don't hit here, but hit there" targets...
But it's gonna be really cool shooting it anyways!!! |

This was a tough target. I had a lot of close shots, some close enough to count some not quite close enough, but I still came up short.
Steyr LP1, RWS pellets, 5 meters, 9 minutes, 90/200.

To me your score looks more like this if you count touching the edge of the lines.
On close call like that I put a pellet in the hole to see exactly where my pellet went through.
But I am not the judge here.
10---20---10 = 40
---20---9---- = 29
---10---10--- = 20
0----10----0- = 10
A total of ----> 99 |

It looked a difficult target at first but I was supprised at my score.
Also the first outing of my Co2 Winchester this year. God! I do like that gun.

Time 12.35-12.42, 7minutes
Umarex Winchester 94 .177
Peep sights
Bisley practice pellets
Nice sunny day
Score 89/200

Thanks for the tip on using a pellet, never thought of that, I only have a gauge for the .22.
So rechecking using this method I scored 108/200.

I have to give it to you Mar you do try.
You can't shoot using a .177 then use a .22 gauge to see if you have cut the line, other wise other people will use a .380 or .450 cal etc.

Al...What the hell are you talking about?
I did not use my 22 gauge for this target, I used a .177 pellet like under500fps mentioned. I don't need to cheat myself or lie about this.
That's the problem with online comp or forums, too many misunderstandings. |
