It has been recommended that I immediately replace the rear seal part no. B22-04-1 on this gun that I've ordered and yet to receive. It seams the OEM part doesn't hold up. I've verified this information with a YouTube video.
I've called Crosman and ordered a new seal, and in talking with the lady, she informed me that the replacement part is the same exact part as the original seal used. She also informed me that in replacing this seal voids the 1 year warranty. It really doesn't make any sense to me to then replace an inferior part with another inferior part. Is there somewhere to obtain a better seal than through Crosman?
And yes, I'm going to replace the trigger assembly with the Charlie Da Tuna version. I just find it hard to believe that without even having this new toy in my hands, I already have to start replacing parts in order to get a satisfactory product. If that's the case, then I also have to wonder why all the reviews give this gun 4-5 stars?
Anyway, thanks for the help with the seal. |

Three guys having the same issue out of thousands of a product sold does not make for a guaranteed "problem".
Why not do something silly like receive the rifle and shoot it, and see if, at some point, it develops such a problem?
If you hadn't figured it out, the interweeb is full of self-proclaimed experts and many more who like to repeat such "expertise" as if it was theirs. |
