with it being almost 74 degrees shooting 14.3 CPHP's it gave me an average reading of 436 fps. This is a factory stock airgun, no mods, yet.
I then changed to a 18 inch barrel and got a reading of 560 fps.
Thats factory breech and bolt, just a longer barrel.
A RVA is next on my to do list.

id say mine is close then if it was the same temps at my house. I installed the longer probe after what I was told and seen it too. stock probe don't push the pellet in deep enough. when fired the gas hits the skirt. it realy helped my accuracy. try putting a pellet in yours n close and open the bolt then look at the port hole and I bet your pellet skirt is over the middle of the porthole. I been hearing a longer barrel helps power like what you found out

I keep mine at 470 approx. I have a 10.1 in barrel on a 2400 with a hammer adjuster and an extended probe. It's the same as a 2240 innards-wise. I can go as high as 510, but it's more accurate at the lower velocity. And you guys gotta remember, this is the same valve that was used in the 2260 with a 24 in barrel so the biggest gain you will get is with barrel length.
