THIS IS A MONTHLY TARGET, SHOOT ANY TIME IN THE NEXT MONTH

EVERYONE WELLCOME

Target to download and print: Month 192; April 1st > April 30 /2014

1)Print to full-size on an A4 or 8.5"x11" sheet of paper.
2) Shooting distance is 5m/16.4ft for pistols.
3) Shooting distance is 10m/32.8ft for rifles.
3a) The rules for shooting 5m or 10 m are that the distance from the target to the firing line should be 10m for rifle and 5m for pistol.
All shots, from whatever shooting position must be made with the competitor wholly behind the firing line but able to touch it.
Basically the shooter should be behind the line but the part of the gun not being held by the shooter can protrude past the line.
4) All targets to be shot standing
5) Any sighting device may be used.
6) NO rests or steadying aids are allowed.
7) 16 shots total, 2 per target maximum. Up to 5 sighting/practice shots not on the clock using the Green
8) 15 minutes total time (take whatever amount of time for each shot you like, but at 15 minutes-stop!).
9) Scoring is marked on target . Only two hits per target counts. Maximum point count is 160.
10) Entries need to be scanned or photographed and posted. Please list gun, pellet, sighting device and total time expended.
11) You can enter using both a pistol and a rifle as separate entries, only one entry for each, but all rules must be followed.
12) Score your own target. Winner and Runner-Up will be verified by board officials.
13) An honourable contest for sport- to lie or cheat, is the only real loser. Please keep it above-board!
14) Each competition runs from Monday to Sunday. Your entry must be posted in the forum no later than 23:00 GMT on the last day.
15) These rules are for this week's shooting competition and may change for others

The green dot is 12mm diameter on A4 paper.

Al

I'm new to this competition but want to start. Do you have to use .177 or .22 caliber?

I am half way tempted to enter. Though I think that a bit unfair as I have learned to hold fairly steady do to much practice and using a super accurate Daisy 880. I get groups of about 0.2 inches at these ranges, and always on the 10 ring of my targets.

So would it be fair for me to enter?

Prove it!...and remember you're on the honor system. No shooting from 12" away! After all, we can't see you but GOD can... Yes Nod

Ok I guess I will have to take plenty of pictures Smile .

I will make sure that you can see me Smile.

My accuracy is do to much practice every single day, any one with equal practice would be in the same position. Unfortunately some will take off rainy days, or snowy days, I shoot 365 days a year, except leap years when I shoot 366 days a year.

Well that explains your braggin' rights. I'll tell you one thing right now Mister Hot Shot...I can't hit the broad side of a barn with the big end of a shovel. So it definitely looks like I had better start practicing and real quick! I'll be looking forward to seeing your targets. It's been fun messin' with ya'!! Wink

It might be suggested that .2 inches constantly with 95% of the guns and shooters in the world is BS. If you can legitimately shoot these sorts of groups with a low-end product like the 880- join an Olympic shooting team. You and your rifle are obviously highly over-qualified for our little 'competition'.

If you really feel that way I will stay out of this competition and wait for a 50 meter or 100 meter competition. As my question was to fairness.

I will just post some of my used targets in another thread.

Though I feel that any one that practices every day and has an extraordinarily accurate gun like a Daisy 880 that is properly cared for can do just as well if not better.

Ignore the bull shitter BravoDeltaII, if he wants to shoot the target at 100 yards
With his Daisy then let him, then everyone will know he talks crap.

We will just have to wait and see if he does shoot a target or disappears from whence he came. I would add that if he does shoot and post a target as good as he says it will be a classic and worth re-posting on most of the other airgun forums, Iím sure other shooters will be overjoyed to add their comments!

As it is clear that I am not allowed in this competition I posted my 10 meter results with the Daisy 880 in a separate thread.
