Acording to weather forcasts we have over here in the UK, Minnesota was -47 deg the other day, I did think about you. ( swapping your snow blower for an icebreaker).
Keep wrapped up!

That figure was probably either the wind chill factor, or the absolute temperature up north by the Canadian border. (We import our weather from Bob in Canada.) Waseca is spitting distance from Iowa, and we have only been down to -10 Deg. F.
Of course, the "orange beanie hat" made its way out of summer storage. As a concession to old age I have taken to wearing another thinner one inside it as a liner. The daughter calls them both "doofey," so I guess this is "doppeldoofey."
The one big disadvantage about the cold is that my drill press won't work. It's in an unheated garage, and the belt gets so stiff that it won't hit the higher speeds. |

I think I’ll have to go along with Robert, it’s to cold to stay in the workshop for to long, or if it is a big job the I put on the heat and go back in an hour. There’s nothing worse than picking up a spanner and finding you can’t put it down, then having to dash into the house and run it under the hot tap to get it off. The joys of engineering!

| Once I got the bright idea to make the drill press drive belt warmer and more pliable by shoving it down the front of my coveralls. I only did that once. |

now I must tell you this. last week I viewed 2 sundogs 1 north,1 south of the sun at the same place every day at the same time... Thursday evening it started raining and freezing to power lines and tree limbs. now we were lucky only out of power 4.5 hours. but I have nuff woog down in the yard to heat a small village a week or so. and it warmed up today, almost 22 degrees |

CO2 season is over, the orange beanie hat is out, and I won't be able to drive in or out of the rifle range until spring, but I'll never give up grilling out...
