THIS IS A MONTHLY TARGET, SHOOT ANY TIME THIS MONTH

EVERYONE WELLCOME

Target to download and print: Month 185; Sep 1 > Sep 30 /2013

1)Print to full-size on an A4 or 8.5"x11" sheet of paper.
2) Shooting distance is 5m/16.4ft for pistols.
3) Shooting distance is 10m/32.8ft for rifles.
3a) The rules for shooting 5m or 10 m are that the distance from the target to the firing line should be 10m for rifle and 5m for pistol.
All shots, from whatever shooting position must be made with the competitor wholly behind the firing line but able to touch it.
Basically the shooter should be behind the line but the part of the gun not being held by the shooter can protrude past the line.
4) All targets to be shot standing
5) Any sighting device may be used.
6) NO rests or steadying aids are allowed.
7) 22 shots total, 2 per Target. Max score is 220. Up to 5 sighting/practice shots not on the clock using the Green dot
8) 15 minutes total time (take whatever amount of time for each shot you like, but at 15 minutes-stop!).
9) Scoring is as marked on target, Only 2 shots per Target counts.
10) Entries need to be scanned or photographed and posted. Please list gun, pellet, sighting device and total time expended.
11) You can enter using both a pistol and a rifle as separate entries, only one entry for each, but all rules must be followed.
12) Score your own target. Winner and Runner-Up will be verified by board officials.
13) An honourable contest for sport- to lie or cheat, is the only real loser. Please keep it above-board!
14) Each competition runs from the first of the month to the last. Your entry must be posted in the forum no later than 23:00 GMT on the last day.
15) These rules are for this month's shooting competition and may change for others

Please make sure that the blue border is visible on your entry, plus the green dot is 12mm diameter on A4 paper.

Al

JSB SCHaK .177" pellets
time = 11:45 after 3 practice shots on the green dot
score = 180/220

I shot about 120 shots in practice yesterday, so finally shooting one of these while not too tired. An interesting challenge this one, having the bull up in the middle of a bunch of zero space. I tried to focus on aiming at the upper part of the line dividing the 9 and 10, but still managed to shoot 3 x 0 shots.

9 min 30sec
Score 175 / 220

Target 9 has 3 shots, one shot by mistake from last target just under it, so this shot was discarded.

So my sighting target came out of the printer a 10mm. So should I start zooming in ? I'm trying not to waste too much ink. Thanks

In the printer options did you set for 100% scale and 8.5" x 11" paper? It may also be the program you're printing from. I get good image scaling in prints with XnView, terrible with MS Paint or a browser.

If you get the blue border as big as possible on A4 paper then the target will be Ok, the green dot is only for sighting.

Welcome to AirGunHome target shooting.

Thanks for all the great advice, once I downloaded the file instead of printing from the browser it printed fine.

Not hard to tell I haven't shot all summer! Embarassed

Pistol
Beeman P-17
Open sights
RWS Meister's 8.18gr
8 min 40 sec
Score: Wasn't sure if target 1, 3rd row down scored a 9 or not as it just barely touched the line so I scored it a zero - 151/220

Good shooting on a target that you get the choice of high score difficult target or low score easy target, it appears that most of you went for the nutural option.

Sholo I up graded your entry to 160, I counted the shot as in.

Ace if no one else shoots the rifle target next month I'll dig a rifle out and have a go. Shocked
