I was over at airgun depot they have a nice RWS 34 wood stock, RWS lockdown mount and a Hawk 4x12 scope on sale for $325 any thoughts on the Hawk scope before i make my decision. never dealt with them any comments, customer service ect.

I use a verity of Hawke scopes and fine them excellent, they are all airgun safe for recoil and if you do have a problem they will usually fix it free of charge, plus they have a ten year guarantee.

I had one on my 392. It doesn't count though because it was a pumper and no recoil. It was an accurate scope though. Held zero no matter what I smacked against. Mine was just a plain old 4X32. I miss that rifle. It was destroyed in a car wreck and I haven't had the money to replace it.

My Son and I both just bought Hawke scopes ... I got the 3-9X40 mil-dot and he got a more expensive one, It's the 2.5-10X44 side wheel with 1/2 mil-dot.

Anyway, these things have much clearer optics and the eye relief on mine is better than any of the scopes on any of my air guns. So far ... the best air gun scope I have.

I run the Hawke Varmit 2.5-10*44 on a few rifles, one air and one powder burner. Very nice scope for the price and it's handy having 1/2 mil-dot! Originally had 4-16 model but after having two of those that didn't focus worth a sheet, I now just buy the 2.5-10 model.

HEY TOMMYTANKER,

My new Hawke Sport Optics 3-9X 40 AO, 30/30 Duplex Reticle scope (just like yours), failed while I was sighting-in my new .22 cal Stoeger X-20 Suppressor break-barrel airgun.

The reticle began to rotate inside the body of the scope, so I sent it back to Hawke they sent me a new one, which I just received and mounted and am now ready to go through the sighting-in procedure again.

When I get my Stoeger sighted in at 20 yards, I'll place it in my rifle display rack with my other airguns, where it may stay for weeks or even months before I begin breaking it in, if I ever do.

None of the 4 airguns in my rack have ever been broken in, even though a couple are a few years old.

I like to own and display airguns (also my powder burners), even more than actually shooting them!
