Oy! I'd really like to view any of the pictures in this thread! Once my 2300 is done, I wanna camo it too.

Hey Rogerflat, you doing those in krylon, or Duracoat?

I use different kinds of paint, even marker (which doesn't hold indefinitely btw). I like the paint with the matted finish. You never want glossy paint, that's for sure. The beige paint I used was actually glossy, but I sprayed over it lightly with the other non-glossy paints to mix it in and that diffused the shine a bit.

Being a new air gunny I have not done any work on my 1377 yet, but here are some pics of some Duracoat work I did on my custom M91-30. The stock is a camo ATI peice and I have tape on the barrel, but it is done in woodland green Duracoat. I've been spraying Duracoat for about two years now and have it on four of my guns and a few accessories. It is easy to apply if you have a comprressor. I started with a cheap airbrush from Harbor Freight, now have two small airbrushes and an HVLP detail gun. Lauer Custom Weaponry has over 100 colors of the Duracoat, and you can mix them to any color you wish. The durability of the finish, and that no baking is involved, sold me on it. Also is a shot of a custom tact. SKS I put together and coated in Duracoat. Another good thing about this stuff is that if you completely cover your project it is water proof. You can remove it to change colors or patterns, but it takes glass beading it enough to give the next application a "bite". I will probably use the Krylon Fusion the first time to get the colors/patterns and if I like them do the prep and apply the Duracoat. Thanks, woodhippy.
